Description
Monster Output, Effortlessly
SVS PB16-ULTRA first priority is authority. When you fire it up, you immediately know what we mean by impactful bass. As a ported home theater subwoofer, the PB16-ULTRA moves an incredible amount of air yet remains musical and controlled.
SVS doesn’t shy away from any aspect of serious bass performance. The 16-inch driver in the heart of this sub is matched with serious amplification to provide low-end extension with authority behind it. Explosions boom. Soundtracks become more impactful. Quiet low-frequency effects that you didn’t know existed suddenly jump out at you. You don’t just hear bass, you feel your entire room reacting to it.
Strength and Control
Muscular output is just one part of the equation. What sets the SVS PB16-ULTRA Subwoofer apart is how well it maintains composure under load. Our advanced DSP coupled with Sledge class amplification ensures your bass remains articulate, tight, and predictable at any volume.
There’s even plenty of room to fine-tune the sound to your preferences. Use the variable port tuning to choose your preference of either maximum output response or a tighter low-end tailored to your room. In many of our system designs created with our theater design tool, we spend a lot of time thinking about placement and room dimensions. Then we go a step further with Dreamedia+ to dial-in EQ, phase, and crossover settings to make sure the bass extension blends seamlessly with your other speakers.
Designed to Fill Your Theater Room
While the SVS PB16-ULTRA Subwoofer is big, it doesn’t take up that much space. Its job is to fill your room. The solid MDF cabinet minimizes cabinet resonance and has a premium finish that looks like it belongs in any serious home theater. But it also means this sub performs just as well in larger rooms as it does in smaller ones. Most subs lose impact when pushed hard in larger spaces, not this one.
PB16-ultras also play nicely with others. Using two in a dual sub setup can tighten up the bass response so every seat in your home theater has the same experience. Plus, it fills your room with such an immersive sound field you’ll wonder why you didn’t do it sooner. When you include some strong LCRs and spend a few minutes calibrating the setup, you have yourself a bona fide reference home theater bass system.
