This doorbell only requires your existing doorbell wires to operate, so you’ll likely won’t need any new cables or wiring. It includes Wi- Fi 6 capabilities so you can connect it to your router on the 2.4GHz or 5GHz frequency for improved live view stability. Additionally, its 10x digital zoom allows you to inspect visitor’s faces or package labels right from your outdoor entertaining space.

At night, Low-Light Vision ensures crisp color video in poorly lit areas, and Adaptive Night Vision automatically kicks in when there isn’t enough light. Since its 3D Motion Detection calculates the distance of movement, you’ll receive less alerts from distant moving cars. Two-way talk with Audio+ technology allows you to speak with visitors right from your phone, no matter where you are.

Ring Wired Doorbell 4K Pro also integrates with Alexa, so an Echo Show can display your front door. Fire TV devices and streaming media players also display door’s live feed with just your voice. Video history and package notifications require a Ring Protect subscription, but all purchases come with 30 days of free Ring Protect.

Doorbell Installation and Connects With Smart Home Devices

Ring’s Wired Doorbell 4K Pro requires an external transformer that outputs either 16 or 24VAC at 10VA to 40VA. For optimal performance, they recommend a transformer that outputs 30 to 40VA and a reliable internet connection with 15 Mbps upload speed or higher. The doorbell is not compatible with transformers made for halogen or garden lighting, and we recommend using surge protection and power conditioning devices to safeguard your wired electronics.

The included corner-mounting kit bends the doorbell’s view so it faces your walkway. Alternatively, you can use the provided standalone mounting brackets for non-standard doorways. Ring’s Chime Kit Mini connects to your wired doorbell and replaces your regular chime. Additionally, devices with whole-home audio like Echo speakers will also announce visitors.
