Always Connected: How a Triple-Redundant Network Keeps You Online

When you’re building a dream home in a remote area, staying connected isn’t a luxury, it’s a necessity. Whether you’re running a business, managing smart devices, or just streaming your favorite shows, you need a strong and reliable connection.

That’s exactly why we built a triple-redundancy network system in this stunning 12,000-square-foot property.

Here’s how we tackled the challenge of delivering high-speed, fail-safe internet access in a home that’s nearly an hour from the nearest city.

1. Point-to-Point Internet: The First Layer

The home’s neighborhood uses a point-to-point network, a long-range wireless system that connects via antennas instead of traditional coax lines. The speeds here are impressive for this type of setup, clocking in at around 250 Mbps down and 125 Mbps up.

That’s solid, but for a house packed with smart devices and high-demand users, it’s only the beginning.

2. Starlink for High-Speed Coverage

To boost performance, we added Starlink’s business service. With speeds up to 500 Mbps, it became the main source of internet in the home. We set it up with a router that supports failover. If Starlink ever goes down, the system instantly switches to the point-to-point connection without missing a beat.

As soon as Starlink is back up and faster, it becomes the primary connection again. No manual switching, no downtime.

3. Wilson Pro 5G Cell Booster: The Final Backup

For the third layer, we installed a Wilson Pro 5G mobile cell booster system. This is not your average plug-and-play booster. It uses a high-gain antenna mounted on the roof that targets nearby cell towers.

That signal is then routed through the mechanical room to a central hub that distributes it throughout the house using hardwired access points.

Even if both internet services go offline, the homeowners can stay connected through 5G mobile data. The access points are low-profile and can be painted to match the walls, making them nearly invisible.

This setup gives full 5G coverage inside and outside the home, perfect for staying connected in an area that normally has no service at all.

The Result: Seamless Connectivity

Thanks to this triple-redundancy system, the homeowners are never offline. The router knows when to switch between connections automatically, and the mobile booster picks up the slack when internet fails completely.

Every device stays connected, and every family member or guest can stream, work, or browse without interruption.
