Three-Channel Sound for Large Displays
Does your large display need front-of-house sound support? Many owners of 65-inch and bigger televisions realize that they need something more substantial than a basic soundbar to produce a believable front soundstage. The RBH Sound Premier 84-SB deploys individual left, center, and right channels to provide movies, music, and games with a wider, tighter focus. Dialogue remains centered, of course, but sounds pan naturally left and right as they move across your screen.
Four 8-inch aluminum woofers provide ample low-frequency extension while three Advanced Macro-Tweeters (AMT) reproduce higher frequencies with ease. The resultant frequency response runs from 55Hz to 35 kHz, and the separation of duties allows each channel to maintain its distinctiveness.
High-Performance Drivers in a Custom Design
RBH Sound wanted the best of both worlds, so they matched their aluminum woofers with high-resolution AMT tweeters in this three-channel system. The woofers provide all the bass and lower-midrange information you could want, while AMT tweeters precisely recreate higher-frequency details with pinpoint accuracy. On top of that, a carefully designed crossover ensures the drivers complement each other across the entire frequency range.
You can choose from multiple width options, including a 57-, 66-, or 75-inch soundbar. Additionally, custom widths are available up to 96 inches. That means you can better match your soundbar to whatever large display you have without being stuck with one predetermined width.
A Clean Fit for Home Theater Systems
The passive configuration also allows you to feed the soundbar through external amplification if desired. Each channel is capable of handling 100–225 watts, with a maximum of 900 watts across all channels. In short, you have plenty of flexibility when designing the rest of your home theater system. The RBH Sound Premier 84-SB can be used as either an LCR soundbar solution or a wide-coverage center channel.
Lastly, the all-high-density fiberboard cabinet and magnetic grille make for a tidy-looking package. You have two finish options: satin black and white. Both are pretty basic and work well in most rooms. Plus, if you’re running the soundbar with a giant TV or outfitting a dedicated home theater, your ability to customize the size helps the front stage blend with the display.
