This theater was not rushed. It began with a vision and a conversation over two years ago. The homeowner had a designated basement area, and the Dreamedia team helped guide everything, from layout and riser placement to gear selection.

Even before choosing a projector, we made sure the back wall had a passthrough portal for futureproofing. That helped minimize noise and kept the projector completely out of the room.

Massive Screen. Perfect View.

To keep things simple and user-friendly, the homeowner went with a 150-inch 16x9 acoustically transparent screen. It is the ideal size for the front row seating, which sits about 11 feet back.

Behind the screen are three Focal 1000 IWLCR speakers, delivering crisp, clear sound through a woven screen designed to maintain picture quality even up close.

Speaker Setup: Immersive and Precise

The 9.4.6 layout includes:

• Four SVS PB16 subwoofers, one in each corner
• Front wides, side surrounds, and rear surrounds
• Six in-ceiling Atmos speakers for a full 3D audio experience

The room is prewired for future upgrades too, like adding second-row side surrounds. Whether it is an action film or a quiet drama, this system is ready to impress.

Processing Power That Delivers

Audio is handled by the Trinnov Altitude 16 processor and Amplitude 16 amplifier, one of the most trusted combinations in the industry. The sound is detailed, spacious, and accurate across every seat.

On the video side, the JVC NZ800 projector throws a bright, sharp image, enhanced by a MadVR Envy Core for advanced tone mapping and video processing. The result is deeper blacks, cleaner highlights, and a smoother picture all around.

Effortless Control

The entire room runs on a Control4 system with a Halo remote and smartphone app. Lighting, source selection, and playback are all just a button press away.

Smart triggers can even dim the lights or raise them when pausing a movie. It is simple and designed with the homeowner in mind.

Acoustics That Look as Good as They Sound

To control reflections and improve clarity, the theater uses Art Novion Cinema Series acoustic panels. These panels are easy to install, customizable in design, and offer both absorption and diffusion.
